The role of Programmes and Partnership Manager (Access to Justice)

We are recruiting two Programme and Partnerships Managers to join our Funding Team, with a focus on Access to Justice. This is an exciting opportunity to deliver our new funding policy, Standing with Londoners, and to contribute to meaningful change across London’s civil society.

These 12-month posts will play a key role in supporting the launch of the first of our new programmes, Access to Justice, with a focus on social welfare advice and social change.

You’ll be able to hit the ground running, to conduct assessments for the first round of the programme, manage a portfolio of grants, provide high-quality support to funded organisations, and identify opportunities for learning, partnership, and impact.

You’ll work closely with colleagues and stakeholders to monitor sector developments, and champion equity and justice in all aspects of your work.

There will also be an opportunity to contribute to work across the wider Programme and Partnerships Team, applying learning from the launch of this first programme to the development of future programmes. This includes scope for crossover and collaboration on racial justice, economic justice, and climate and environmental justice.

About you

This role is ideal for someone with a strong understanding of social justice issues, excellent relationship management skills, and experience in funding or a related field such as social welfare advice.

We welcome and value lived, learned, and professional experience that brings insight into the experiences of marginalised communities — this understanding is central to shaping equitable and impactful funding practice.

In terms of experience, you’ll have an excellent knowledge of the voluntary sector, experience in assessing, managing, monitoring and evaluating grants. You should also have experience working collaboratively in small teams, along with data input and data management within Customer Relationship Management databases. You should have a good understanding of charity accounting, and grant portfolio management; and a strong commitment to open and trusting grant making.

You’ll also have sound written, verbal communication skills, excellent IT literacy and strong interpersonal skills. An effective analytical problem-solver, you’ll be able to manage competing deadlines without losing the quality of your work.

We are a values-based organisation and welcome applications from all sectors and communities. Equity, diversity and inclusion is as important in our staff and governance as it is in our work. We support flexible working and job-shares; and are open to requests for part time (four days per week). We are a Disability Confident employer and positively welcome applications from disabled people.
