We stand with London, against racism and Islamophobia, hatred and division
London is one of the most diverse cities on the planet, and we are proud of it. As an anti-racist organisation, we support migrants, refugees, asylum seekers and other marginalised communities. We stand with all our communities and against racism and Islamophobia, hatred and division.
City Bridge Foundation supports a very wide range of local community organisations across the capital. Many of these charitable organisations support racially minoritised and marginalised communities. Many will feel threatened by the outbreaks of violence taking place across the country.
We remain fully committed to supporting all organisations working to tackle inequality and to making London a fairer city. Many people and communities will feel deeply concerned by these incidences of rioting, and they have our full support.
If your organisation is in receipt of funding from City Bridge Foundation we understand that the mental and physical wellbeing of your staff, volunteers, service users and local communities must come first.
Some organisations are scaling back community engagement activities and work schedules are being affected. We are not expecting timelines or meetings to be met during this period and we extend our solidarity to our funded organisations and the wider sector at this time of localised unrest. If you have any questions re: project delivery or your funding, please talk to your Funding Manager or contact us.
Our vision is for London and Londoners to be truly connected, and we stand by that.
Hatred has no place in our capital.
